BOJADJIEFF, ALEIDA BRUZON, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2017 in South Miami Hospital in the company of one of her many friends. She has gone to be with her husband of 40 years, Phllipp, who left us October 13, 2001. Aleida was born in Havana, Cuba, on March 23, 1937 to Antonio and Cylvia Bruzon. She graduated from Ursuline Academy in New Orleans. Her family subsequently resided in Boston and Madrid. Aleida leaves behind her beloved sister, Magda, and nephew Robert Pelaez and his wife Ramona and their children Elise, Erin, and Cristina, and niece Cecilia and her husband Robert. All of whom reside in Phoenix, Arizona. And her other niece Vessela Boyadjieva of Cutler Bay, her husband James and son Filip. Aleida will be missed by all of us and by her many, many friends. Perhaps as a harbinger of her love of traveling, she met Philipp while cruising from Europe to the United States. Aleida also enjoyed classical music, opera and serving with the women's guild in her church. She was a Docent with Viscaya for many years where she could use her multi-lingual gift for the benefit of tourists. The couple lived in Munich, Germany for 30 years where Aleida was employed as an assistant to the Cultural Attach‚ with the Spanish Consulate. As time went on the couple retired and relocated to Miami. Aleida was a devout Catholic and worshipped at the Saint Augustine Catholic Church. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in her church at 1400 Miller Road, Coral Gables, on January 16, 2018 at 3:00 PM. Interment will be at Miami Memorial Park.
