Cook, Alexander W. Jr., age 89, formerly of Western Springs, IL, passed peacefully in his home in Burr Ridge on December 31, 2017. Loving husband to Camille (married 63 years) and brother of the late Leon (Nellie) Cook and Elaine (the late William) Pingel. Fond uncle of Leah Thompson, Darryl Cook, Jane VanHam, Adam Pingel and Susan Mattson. He will be forever remembered by his compassionate caregiver Ilga and dear friends Karen and Ron Ziemba. Alex was a United States veteran having served post-WWII duties in Italy, a graduate of Notre Dame University, received his law degree from the University of Chicago, and contributed significantly in his professional life while employed in the financial field at Smith-Barney as a bonds broker.
