Amie Elizabeth Weeks Cannon
1971 ~ 2017
Amie Elizabeth Weeks Cannon passed away peacefully surrounded by family at her home in Cottonwood Heights December 29, 2017 at the age of 46. She was born in Provo July 15, 1971 to Skip and Jan Weeks. She spent her childhood in San Diego and came to love the California coast which she would return to often. Upon moving back to Utah as a teenager, she attended Alta high school. During these years her testimony ignited as she immersed herself in the scriptures; this testimony never left her. Upon graduating, she took a job in New York City for a year. The spring after returning to Utah she met Grant Lee Cannon while working at the Symphony. They fell in love. On November 28, 1990 Amie and Grant were sealed for Time & All Eternity in the Salt Lake Temple by President Thomas S. Monson. Amie was always faithful to the covenants she made, and never wavered in her loyalty to them. Soon children were born and she became a terrific mother; homeschooling all her children. She was an accomplished foodie, photographer, artist, seeker, scholar, & traveler; visiting over two dozen countries. Her deep love and study of the Gospel and interest in world religions gave her breadth and insight into the things of the Spirit. Amie fought bravely for four years with metastatic breast cancer before she was called home. She is survived by her husband Grant, and her six children, Elisa, James, Marrott, Rogan, Eliot, and Ruby.
