James J. Gillick Jr. Navy and Army veteran, beloved husband, brother, and uncle James J. Gillick Jr., 90, of Rahway, N.J., entered into eternal rest on Friday, Dec. 29, 2017. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at the Leonard-Lee Funeral Home, 301 E. Blancke St., Linden, N.J., on Wednesday, Jan. 3, at 12 noon. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Interment is at St. Gertrude Cemetery. Please visit leonardleefh.com. James was born and raised in Elizabeth, N.J., living in Rahway, N.J., for the past 10 years. He was Navy veteran of World War II, serving from 1944 to 1946 in the Pacific theatre. He then enlisted in the U.S. Army and served from 1947 to 1965, when he retired. James then worked for the Valcor Engineering Corp. in Springfield, N.J., for several years in quality control before retiring in 1996. He was the beloved husband of the late Soon Ok Gillick, who died in 2007. He is survived by his brother, Walter Gillick, a sister, Mary Donnell, and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving is his beloved brother-in-law, Young In Jin.
