Angelo A. DiPrenda WWII Marine Corps veteran, Township of Montclair employee Angelo A. DiPrenda, "Spaly," 94, of Montclair, N.J., passed away on Monday, Dec. 18, 2017. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 28 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Montclair, with an entombment at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, East Hanover, N.J. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Caggiano Memorial, 62 Grove St., Montclair. Caggianomemorial.com Spaly was born and raised in Montclair, and was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked for the Township of Montclair at the Ice Rink, where he enjoyed driving the Zamboni for many years. Angelo is survived by his wife, Domenica "Minnie" (nee DiBella); his daughter, Diane DiGisco and her husband, Ralp; his son, Nick and his wife, Patti; his grandchildren, Danielle and Nicholas; his great-grandchildren, Marisa, Dylan, and Matthew, and by his brother, Vincent DiPrenda. He was predeceased by his parents, Nicola and Anna DiPrenda (nee Lungaro), and by 12 siblings. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Wounded Warrior Project, www. woundedwarriorproject.org
