Albert 'Liberato' D'Amico Loving husband, father, grandfather and great- grandfather, 100 Albert "Liberato" D'Amico, of Nutley, N.J., passed away on Friday, Dec. 15, 2017. The funeral will be Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St., Nutley, www.swbrownandson.com. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church in Nutley at 9:30 a.m. The interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, N.J. Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. Born in San Massimo, Abruzzo, Italy, the son of Dolores (Lorella) and Giovanni D'Amico, Liberato lived in East Orange, N.J., and Irvington, N.J., prior to moving to Nutley 53 years ago. Liberato was a tailor and the owner of Al's Custom Tailors in Newark, N.J., which was formerly Amato Tailors. He was an avid bowler and a member of the St. Mary's Knights of Columbus Council 2346 in Nutley. The beloved husband of the late Lillian R. (Amato) D'Amico and father of the late John D'Amico, he is survived by his daughters, Dolores Micone, Elvira D'Amico, Rita Ippolito and her husband, Salvatore, and Lisa Klemovitch and her husband, Philip; six grandchildren, Antoinette, Marie, Lillian, Anthony, Arianna and Rachel; and his great-grandson, Michael. He was also predeceased by his brother, Dominic. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to (www.stjude.org) would be appreciated.
