Ada Carris Pearl Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Ada Carris Pearl, formerly of Maplewood, N.J., and Long Branch, N.J., died on Tuesday Dec. 12, 2017. Born in 1925 in Newark, N.J., to Sylvia and Milton Carris, she was predeceased by the love of her life, her husband of 54 years, Leo Pearl, in 1999. Ada was a graduate of the New York School of Interior Design and operated a private design business for many years. She is survived by her children: son, Ronald (Candice) of Barnegat, N.J., and Naples, Fla.; daughter, Laurie Friedman (Howard) of Potomac, Md., and daughter Dana-Jo Buschinski (Henry) of Hanover, Pa. She adored her four granddaughters: Jodie Friedman Grimm (Gavin), Leigh Friedman Long (Matthew), Skylar Buschinski and Liza Buschinski. She was a loving great-grandmother and took great delight in her two great-grandchildren, Sylvie Long and Leo Grimm. Other survivors include her brother, S. Joseph Carris; sister-in-law, Joan Carris, nieces and a nephew, all of New York City, N.Y.
