ALTON L. CONLEY  
Alton Lee Conley, 91, of Spotsylvania County went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Mary Washington Hospital.Mr. Conley was a World War II Army veteran and a retired brick mason. He was an ordained deacon, elder and minister who was a faithful servant of the Lord. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Peggy Ann Hall Conley; two daughters Tara Maureen Byrd (Jack), Janice Conley Knighton (Ray); five grandchildren Erin (Stacy), Emily (Chad), Heidi, Suzanne (Kevin) and Lee who were very dear to his heart; 13 great-grandchildren whom he loved dearly; and several nieces and nephews.A service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, December 15 at Good Hope Baptist Church 5601 Courthouse Rd. Spotsylvania, Va. 22551. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery.
