Ann Weaver Gordon Former N.J. resident, 'found peace in the gifts of nature' Ann Weaver Gordon of W. Barnstable, Mass., passed away peacefully on Oct. 19, 2017, with her family by her side. A memorial service will be held at West Parish in W. Barnstable on Saturday, Nov. 4 at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow. Ann was born on Sept. 25, 1953 in Summit, N.J., daughter of the late Jane Sidford Gordon and the late James Allison Gordon. Ann attended Harding Township School in New Vernon, N.J., and graduated from Kent Place School in Summit. She obtained her associates degree at Cape Cod Community College. Ann and her family resided in New Jersey, but they always spent summers in Brewster, Mass. Ann fell in love with Cape Cod and moved there permanently. Ann was a free spirit and always put others before herself. She found joy in spending time with her family and friends and found peace in the gifts of nature. She had an artistic eye and a love for music. In her later years, she decided to pursue her passion of helping others and became a certified nursing aide. Her favorite job in life was being a mother to her three children. Ann is survived by her son, Hunter Lewis and his girlfriend, Danielle Robertson, of Barnstable, Mass.; her daughter, Whitney Fernandes and her husband, Justin, of Centerville, Mass.; her son, Wyatt Lewis of Barnstable; her brother, James Gordon Jr. of New Vernon, and her two sisters, Martha Santiuste of Summit and Sarah DeGiovanni of Rocky Hill, Conn.
