Evelyn was proud of being the third generation of her family to be born and raised in her beloved San Francisco. She attended St. Peter's Academy, graduating in 1937. She married her Valentine's sweetheart, Robert Hunt, on February 14, 1942 while Bob was in the service and together they raised their family in St. Monica's Parish in the Richmond District.
