July 17 1922 - March 6 2018 Bette Baker was born Adella Fra Tracy on July 17 1922 in San Diego CA and passed away peacefully on March 6 2018 at CalVet Veterans Home of CA skilled nursing facility in Los Angeles. Bette proudly served in the U.S. Navy in WWII and is survived by her 3 children: Shari (Lain) Summers (husband Mel & sons Mel Mikkel & Matt) Lani Lain (wife Nancy & children Kelly Jeff Kate & Peter) and David Lain & daughters Kimberly Andrea Angela Aerena and Abby plus 15 great-grandchildren 4 great-great-grandchildren and sister Ruth Dalgleish. She was predeceased by grandson Anthony David Lain. A March 29th memorial service was held in her honor at the CalVet Veterans Home. She enjoyed entertaining hospitalized children as a clown and portraying Mrs. Santa Claus. Bette was a lifelong devoted Angels baseball fan and one highlight on her 90th birthday was attending an Angels game with her family and seeing her name in lights on the scoreboard. Bette had a great sense of humor and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
