ALLAN L. GRUER (Age 83)  COL, U.S. Air Force (Ret.)  
Of Alexandria, VA passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 24, 2018. Allan is survived by his beloved wife, Rose M. Gruer of 58 years; brothers, Jack Gruer and Earl Gruer (Linda Lee); and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Allan P. Gruer and Margaret Smith Gruer. While Allan served globally in the US Air Force, his proudest achievement was serving in the Vietnam War as a helicopter pilot. A funeral service will be held at Ft. Myer Old Post Chapel, followed by interment at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a .
