Agatha (Ida) Baldi Devoted parishioner at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel R.C. Church in Montclair and St. Sebastian Society member Agatha (Ida) Baldi, 96, of Vernon, N.J., formerly of Montclair, N.J., passed away peacefully on March 27, 2018, at the Karen Ann Quinlan Home for Hospice in Fredon, N.J. Visitation will be Wednesday (today), March 28, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Caggiano Memorial Home, 62 Grove St., Montclair. Visit Caggianomemorial.com. A funeral blessing will be offered on Thursday, March 29, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 94 Pine St., Montclair. Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Montclair. Agatha was the loving daughter of Sebastiano and Angela Petronecci and the beloved wife of the late Alphonse Baldi, whom she always referred to as "the love of her life." Agatha was employed at Westinghouse Electric Corp. in Bloomfield, N.J., before retiring to be a homemaker. She was a lifelong parishioner at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel R.C. Church in Montclair. Agatha was a member of the St. Sebastian Society, as were her parents before her. For most of her life, Agatha took great pride in, and enjoyment from, her involvement in the St. Sebastian and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel feasts. Agatha was also an avid bowler and a great dancer. She is survived by her loving children, Barbara Petronaci and her husband, John, and Allan Baldi and his wife, MaryJane, and her adored grandchildren, Jamie Cuccaro and her husband, Joey, Brian Petronaci, Jessica Petronaci and her fiance, Ryan Schwester, and Christopher, Alyssa, and John Baldi. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Angela Wolgast, and her brother, Santo Petronecci.
