Ammie Sims Sr. Father, son and brother, 55 Ammie Sims, Sr., age 55, of Newark, N.J., passed away on Monday, Oct. 9, 2017. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Oct. 20, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Woody "Home for Services," 163 Oakwood Ave., Orange, N.J. Visitation is on Friday from 9 a.m. until time of services. Interment is in New Jersey Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, N.J. Ammie was the father of Angela, Aleah, Alisha, Amir, Jaden, and Ammie Sims, Jr.; son of Myrtis Sims; and brother of Emma Lee, Diane, Sylvia and Leonard Sims, Jr. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
