MCGAHAN Adeline G. (Hocking), of Randolph, formerly of South Boston, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2017, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 92. Born and raised in South Boston, she graduated from South Boston High School in 1942. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Adeline will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known her. Adeline was the wife of the late Edward M. McGahan. Loving mother of Thomas F. Daley, V and his wife Sharon of ME, Denise E. Platt and her husband Barry of Clinton, Mary E. McGahan of Randolph and Brian E. McGahan and his wife Lori of Brockton. Sister of the late Jim Hocking, Cyril Hocking and Margaret Hocking. Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 No. Main St. (Rt.28) RANDOLPH. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 10th, at 10:00 AM in the Funeral Home. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting Hours Monday, October 9th, from 4:00 8:00 PM. A Private burial will be held in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Because of Adeline's devotion to animals, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Hilltop Humane Society, P.O. Box 553, Randolph, MA 02368.
