Albert 'Al' Sylvestro Butcher and store owner Albert "Al" Sylvestro of Cedar Grove, N.J., passed away on Sunday, Sept. 10, 2017. Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Zarro Funeral Home, 145 Harrison St., Bloomfield, N.J. The service is Wednesday morning at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, thence to Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield for interment. Expressions of sympathy for the Sylvestro family may be shared at www.zarrofuneralhome.net Born in Newark, N.J., to his late parents, Albert and Anna Sylvestro, Al lived most of his life in Belleville, N.J., before moving to Cedar Grove 18 years ago. He was a butcher and store owner for the last 40 years in the Belleville and Newark areas. Al is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Maureen (Manna); loving children, Nicole Sylvestro, Danielle Bonilla and her husband, Michael, and Carrie Fredo and her husband, Marty; cherished grandchildren, Mya, Ava, Olivia, Martino and Domenic; and two sisters, Carol Markese and Donna Lappostato.
