Addie Mae Barrett Dixon
1923-2017
Addie Mae Barrett Dixon, long time educator for Aldine ISD, Houston ISD and author of many books transitioned peacefully August 29, 2017. Addie was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Suwillow Langford Barrett; her beloved husband, Floyd E. Dixon, Sr., 7 brothers and 3 sisters. She leaves to honor her memory, two sisters, Elizabeth Barrett Pearsall and Suella Judy Barrett Gayle; a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Services will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 12418 Crosby Lynchburg Road, Barrett, Texas.
