Of Clearwater Beach, FL and Alexandria, VA passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2017 in Alexandria, VA. Born in the Panama Canal Zone, Mrs. Jones is survived by her husband, Colonel Terry D. Jones, ARNG (Ret.); father, Enrique Eduardo Young of Panama; son, Alberto Menasche Young; brothers, Eduardo Young of Hattiesburg, MS, William Young of Kissimmee, FL; sisters, Emily Strotheide of Madisonville, LA, Susan Young of Richardson, TX, and Lydia Young of Panama. Also surviving are half-brothers, Enrique Young of Panama, Carlos Young of Panama and Saloman Young of Frisco, TX; and half-sister, Ivonne Young of Panama. Mrs. Jones had a distinguished career with the federal government, starting with her employment at the U.S. Army South, Fort Clayton, Panama, in 1987 and retiring in 2013 as a research assistant with the office of the Comptroller of the Currency in Washington, DC.Visitation will be on Friday, September 1 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL, 727-562-2080, with a Vigil Service at 6 p.m. Condolences may be offered at www.serenityfuneralhomelargo.com
