Billie Helen SorianoAugust 6, 1957 - June 16, 2017Billie was born August 6th, 1957 in Stockton, CA. She left us on June 16th 2017 surrounded by family and friends after a courageous battle with cancer.
She grew up in Dos Palos, California on a small ranch. She was very devoted to her parents and family.
Billie was the first in her extended family to attend a university, and graduated from Stanford in 1980 with a degree in Psychology.
She worked in the high tech industry excelling at every role, from support, to management, to human resources. She started at Oracle, and later worked for a startup, which was acquired by Dell, where her final title was Knowledge Management Sr. Advisor.
In 2000 she pursued her interest in spirituality and attended seminary school at the Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, where she received her Master of Divinity in 2004.
Billie was always good with people and had many friends. Sharing time with friends and family was very important to her. She also was an avid reader, and enjoyed traveling and knitting.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jess Soriano Sr., Margaret Blanco, and sister Sharon Moon.
She leaves behind her son George Hultgren of Half Moon Bay, her brothers Jess Soriano Jr.(Los Banos) and Jerome Blanco (Fresno) and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial service will be held for Billie at the College Heights United Church of Christ in San Mateo 1150 W. Hillsdale Blvd, San Mateo, CA 94403 on September 16 at 1 PM.
Donations in Billie's honor can be made to either Puente, Second Harvest or Habitat for Humanity, groups she had supported for many years.
