Betty Fae Strout Elkins passed away on Saturday August 5 2017 in Rancho Mirage, California. Betty was born November 23 1925 in Salt Lake City, Utah to William Jennings Bryan Strout and Gladys Sheppard. She graduated from West High School in 1943 and married the love of her life, Norman A. Elkins that June. They were married for 60 years before he passed away in 2003. Betty and Norman had four daughters: Sue, Pat, Linda, and Teri. Betty worked in jewelry sales at Hubbard-Denn, Lyson-Pearsall, and retired from Bennion Jewelers. After her retirement, they bought a home in Palm Desert. Betty was a classy lady, always stylish and up on all the latest news and politics. She will be remembered for her wisdom, generosity, class, and example of love and kindness. Betty is survived by her four daughters, 14 grandchildren, and 35 great grandchildren. She joins in heaven her husband Norman, her grandchildren Lori Lindsay and Christopher Anderson, her brothers Bryan and Robert Strout, and her son-in-law John Anderson.
A viewing will be held on August 17th from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. at Wasatch Lawns, followed by a graveside service.
