Bruce is the 7th of 9 children born to Roland Irving and Josephine Berry Ferrell. Bruce attended private grade school and graduated from East High. He joined the Airforce and served during the Korean Conflict with the 85th Medical Group; after which he returned to the University of Utah to pursue his interest in biology and zoology. He worked for Hercules NDT for over 30 years and retired in 1989. Bruce married Judy McClellan April 30, 1983. He is survived by: Judy; Shawna (John), Joannette, Roland (Melissa), Owen,Scott (Kristin); 12 grand-children, 4 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, many in-laws, nieces and nephews.
An informal Celebration of Life in honor of Bruce will be held Friday, 18 August, at the LDS Stake Center, 3930 S 6000 W, WVC, UT from 5 p.m. -7 p.m.; wear green (Dad's favorite color) if you'd like.
The family thanks the staff with Rocky Mountain Hospice; and both the Spine and Oncology teams with the Huntsman Cancer Hospital.
