Albert T. Forsythe Loved being with family, especially his grandchildren Albert T. Forsythe, born in Jersey City, N.J., on Aug. 31, 1930, currently of South Plainfield, N .J., passed away peacefully on Aug. 2, 2017, at home surrounded by his family. The funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Colonia, N.J. Entombment will directly follow the funeral service at St. Gertrude's in Colonia. Visitation by family and friends will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 4 at Gosselin Funeral Home, 660 New Dover Rd., Edison, N.J. Albert worked and retired from Amalgemeted Lithographers of America Local One. He enjoyed spending as much time with his family as possible. He was a Little League coach for many years with the Cranford Baseball League. His love for his family continued as he dedicated his time enjoying his grandchildren in their many activities including dance and basketball. Albert was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters, and is survived by his wife, Catherine of 58 years, his four children, Albert Forsythe, Kathleen Kranick, Patricia Tekel, and William Forsythe and their spouses, along with his five grandchildren, Christopher and Willie Forsythe, Kelli and Frankie Kranick, Steven Tekel and his great-grandchildren, Kayleigh and Christopher, his many nieces, nephews, and the rest of his relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to The Cerebral Palsy League, Inc., 61 Myrtle St., Cranford, N.J. 07016. The family of Albert Forsythe wishes to thank Center for Hope Hospice as well as his longtime caregiver, Hawa.
