Albert G. Bauer Army veteran, bus company owner, loyal Pingry alumnus Albert G. Bauer, 89, of Union, N.J., passed away on July 30, 2017. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Aug. 5, at 10:15 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Church in Union. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, N.J. A visitation will be held on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Bradley, Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home, 1100 Pine Ave., Union. In 1945, he graduated from the Pingry School, which he loved, and over the years was active in many different facets of administration. After Pingry, Albert served in the U.S. Army and went on to graduate from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1951. Albert owned and operated the A.F. Bauer Bus Company in Union. He is survived by his longtime companion, Joan Bender, and several nieces and nephews.
