Alan T. Cassidy, 64, passed away suddenly on July 17th, 2017. Loving husband of Noreen Cassidy. Proud father of Mary Kate and Brian Cassidy. Son of the late Robert F. and Eleanor R. Cassidy. Son-in-law of Maureen (nee O'Leary) and the late David J. Kelleher. Brother of R. Brian (Ann) Cassidy, the late Mary Ellen Brady, Mark (Maureen) Cassidy, Jim (Carolyne) Cassidy, and Martha (Craig) Kussman. Brother-in-law to Kathleen (Dean) Rogers, Eileen (Barry) Tinley, Vicky Cassidy, and the late David Kelleher. He loved his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and grand-nephews. Proud graduate of The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina and Captain, The United States Marine Corps from 1975-1981. Alan's life was full of positivity, storytelling, and pride for his family. His unexpected death is a stark reminder to enjoy every minute of life the way he did. Visitation Friday, July 21st, 10:00am-12:00pm at St. Giles Church, 1045 Columbian, Oak Park. Followed by mass at 12:00pm.
