Peacefully transitioned on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Providence Hospital. He is survived by one special son; Elijah Whitehead (Jennifer); four sisters; Blanchie Quinichette, Anita Whitehurst, Mary Ellen Davis and Josephine Whitehead; three special grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. On Saturday, July 22, 2017 from 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m., friends may visit with the family at Canaan Baptist Church, 1600 Newton St., NW, Washington, DC.
