Allan E. Brown Former Maplewood resident Allan E. Brown, 91, died on May 19, 2017, after a long illness. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 17, at the Brick Church, 111 Drum Point Rd., Brick, N.J. Allan is survived by his sons, Robert, James, and Tom, and granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Danielle. He graduated from Irvington High School. Allan enlisted in the Navy and served in the Pacific during World War II. He was active in the Maplewood Lions Club. For most of his life, he lived on Brown Street in Maplewood, N.J., but moved to Lakewood, N.J., after retiring from his career as a plumbing and heating contractor. In lieu of flowers, donations to or the Fresh Air Fund are appreciated.
