Barbara A. Adorna 'Beloved grandma,' retired office manager, of Maplewood Barbara A. Adorna, 72, of Maplewood, N.J., passed away peacefully on Monday, May 22, 2017 at her home. Visitation will be Thursday, May 25, 2017, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Bradley, Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home, 1100 Pine Ave., Union, N.J. 07083. A prayer service will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 26, in the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Hollywood Cemetery, Union, N.J. Barbara was born on May 20, 1945, in Santa Barbara, Calif. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas and Marion (nee Hopfensperger) Bellarosa from Irvington, N.J. She was a 1963 graduate of Irvington High School. Barbara moved to Maplewood in 1970, where she resided and raised her daughter, Debra Newsome Shaw. She worked as an office manager for William H. Yeomans, Inc., General Contractors, for many years. Barbara retired in 1994, to spend time with her cherished grandchildren. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time outdoors. Barbara is survived by her beloved husband, James P. Adorna Sr.; her daughter, Debra Shaw and husband, William. She was the beloved grandma to Jennifer, Kimberly, Mallory, William, and Keri Shaw. In addition, she is survived by her siblings, Louise Lahr (Don), Nicholas Bellarosa Sr. (Maria), and her devoted caregivers, Wiola and Irma.
