Alfred H. CourtneyJanuary 30, 1924 - April 20, 2017Alfred Harvey Courtney, age 93, passed away at his home in Broadmoor, CA on Thurs. April. 20th, 2017. Alfred was born January. 30th, 1924, in Yanush, OK. His family moved to Mira Loma, CA in 1938 where he resided until joining the Navy at the age of 18. One of the Greatest Generation, he served in the Pacific on the USS Rochambeau during WWII.

Alfred lived in his home in Broadmoor from March 1947 until his passing. He owned Courtney Glass Co. in San Francisco for 57 years. Alfred was an avid outdoorsman, hunter and fisherman, reserve game warden, and hunter safety instructor.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Pam, son, Bill, and siblings, Vernon and Alice. Survivors include siblings - Lorene, Melvin, Thelma, Helen, and Roy; children - Karen, Kal (and partner Martha), Bonnie, and David; grandchildren - Jodi and Larry; great-grandchildren - Courtney and Natalie; wife Marta, and numerous nephews and nieces.

A celebration of his life will be held on Sat. June 10th at the Jade Dragon Restaurant, 2368 Junipero Serra Blvd., Daly City, CA between the hours of 2:00 PM and 7:30 PM. Graveside services will be held at Skylawn Memorial Park on June 11th at 11:00 AM.
