Berkeley Sinclair Burgess Sr. Graveside service is Thursday for father of five, 90 Berkeley Sinclair Burgess Sr., 90, of the Stratford Retirement Community, High Point, N.C., went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 15, 2017. A funeral service was held yesterday at Cumby Family Funeral Service High Point Chapel. Berkeley will be laid to rest at Rosedale Cemetery with a graveside service on Thursday, May 25, at 12 noon, in Montclair, N.J., with Pastor Anita R. Wright officiating. Berkeley was predeceased by his wife, Doris Burgess; parents, Berkeley and Charlotte Burgess; daughter, Ellen Burgess, and sister, Phyllis Burgess. Berkeley is survived by his sons, Berkeley S. Burgess Jr. and wife, Michele, of North Carolina; Dennis Burgess of Delaware; and Carl Burgess and wife Pamaila of North Carolina; daughters, Andrea Burgess Frye and Francine Burgess, both of Michigan; and his sister, Lorraine Gardner of New Jersey; 10 grandchildren, a great-granddaughter, and a nephew.
