CHARLES M. BROCK, JR. (Age 96)  
Of Broad Run, Virginia, former longtime resident of McLean, on Saturday, May 6, 2017. A graduate of The Citadel in 1943, he was a first lieutenant in the Army serving in the European Theatre in World War II, witnessing the liberation at Buchenwald, meeting of the Russian and American armies at the Elbe River and the Nuremberg trials. He had a forty-five year career as an investment advisor. The widower of Dorothy Geraldine Whalen and father of the late Andrea Merrett Brock, he is survived by four children and their spouses: Charles M. Brock III (Caroline); Jacqueline Brock Hampton (Robert); Alexandra W. Brock (William Baer); Anthony W. Brock (Rula), and four grandchildren: Lucy Baer, Walker Brock, Chiara Hampton and Leena Brock.There will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 10 with reception to follow at Grace Episcopal Church, 6507 Main Street, The Plains, VA 20198.In lieu of flowers, please send donations in memory of Charles M.
