Alessio "Al" MaggiAlessio "Al" Maggi of Fulton passed away on May 10, 2017. He is survived by his daughter, Marie; son-in-law, Dave Wilson; treasured grandson, Alessio; and Dave's daughters, Acacia, Katie, Jessica (Mike) and their daughters, all of Fresno, CA. He is preceded in death by his wife, Geni (2015) his daughter, Julie (2005) and his brother Armando (2014). Al was born on July 17, 1925 in Daly City. He graduated from Jefferson Union High School, Daly City, then enlisted and served in the Army during WWII. He retired after a career with Sunset Scavengers in San Francisco. He enjoyed volunteering his time with 4-H and NBICF. He loved animals, especially his chickens, pigeons and sheep. He enjoyed gardening and was always busy in his yard. A wonderful husband, father and Nonno; he will be greatly missed. Viewing, Rosary and Mass will be held at St. Rose Catholic Church, 398 10th Street, Santa Rosa, CA 95401 on Wednesday May 24, 2017. Viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m., Rosary at 10:30, and Mass at 11:00 am. A reception for all will immediately follow at the parish hall. His and Geni's interment will be at a later date. For more than 20 years, he and Geni were benefactors of St. Rose Catholic School. The school recently honored them by dedicating the new Science Lab and Enrichment Center building in their names. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Rose Catholic School, 4300 Old Redwood Hwy, Santa Rosa, CA 95403.
