Barbara Jeanne CasonFebruary 25, 1926 - May 10, 2017Barbara "Bobbie" Jeanne Cason passed away peacefully on May 10 in Burlingame, California. Born and raised in San Jose, California to parents Clyde and Maude Stewart, Bobbie graduated summa cum laude from San Jose State University in 1947. There, she was the president of her sorority, Phi Kappa Pi, and she began engaging in her lifelong passion of volunteer work. After college, Bobbie was a stewardess at United Airlines in San Francisco, rising quickly to become a trainer and then a supervisor. Bobbie and her beloved husband of 60 years, Bill, traveled the world with People to People International. They were also long-time members of Peninsula Golf and Country Club.
She is survived by her husband William Andrew Cason, daughter Susan Cason Graf (Fred Graf), grandchildren Claire and Christopher Huguelet, her dear nieces and nephews, and their families. She is predeceased by her parents, her brother Clyde Raymond Stewart, and her daughter Nancy Cason Chiamos.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on June 8 at The First Presbyterian Church of Burlingame. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Seedlings Braille Books for Children (seedlings.org/donate)
