Bernard Aronowitz Picatinny Arsenal engineer, beloved husband and father Bernard Aronowitz, 89, of Ambler, Pa., passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2017. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 19, 2017, at Louis Suburban Chapel, 13-01 Broadway (Route 4 West), Fair Lawn, N.J. Burial will follow at Ozerkower Cemetery, Saddle Brook, N.J. Bernard was born in Paterson, N.J., on Nov. 29, 1927. Bernie was a United States Army veteran and worked as a civilian engineer for Picatinny Arsenal in Dover, N.J., for 30 years. He was the son of the late Jacob Aronowitz and the late Celia (nee Grodsky) Aronowitz; beloved husband for 40 years of the late Selma (nee Lipschulz) Aronowitz; father of Karen Aronowitz, and Susan Krane and her husband, Andrew, and grandfather to Jennifer and Stephanie. He was predeceased by his brothers, Martin and Louis Aronowitz, and sisters, Ida Callahan and Blanche Blazer.
