Arden Greenblat

Faleceu

Arden William Greenblat Dec. 4,1938 - May. 16, 2017Arden William Greenblat was a lifetime resident of San Francisco California. Born to Albert & Claire Greenblat on December 4,1938. He attended Lowell High School, then graduated from University of California Berkley and began a career as a Teacher. He moved on from teaching to become an Analyst for the State of California.
Arden developed a passion for both the Ballet and the Opera. He served as an Usher for 60years and attended every performance, sometimes 5 times or more. He enjoyed the elaborate costumes and beautiful stages sets, and would excitedly recite the story and describes the scenes in magnificent detail.
He loved travel & history, and was planning a future trip to China. His most recent trip was to Italy with his nephew Keith. Arden was an avid reader, always eager to learn more about far off places or local Bay Area History. His current focus was on Korea and Korean Television.
Family was very important to Arden, he did his best to keep in touch with everyone, staying up to date on everyone's life, accomplishments and plans. Always staying active, Arden loved his daily lunches with his brothers Randy & Wayne, and nephew Keith; enjoyed his day trips to various museums, and was always ready for his next adventure. Even better, if asked, Arden was always up to a challenging game of Scrabble or Train (even if he used his own rules!).
Arden will forever be remembered by those closest to him and that loved him as a kind, gentle and generous person. Always willing to help, and always there with a story and a smile. He is survived by his three brothers, Randy, Wayne & Arleigh; nephews Michael, Keith Stanton & Rodney, and niece Laurie. Arden left us as gracefully & peacefully as he lived, eating his bagel and watching Korean TV. He will be greatly, greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held 10 AM, Friday, May 19, at Hills of Eternity Memorial Park, Colma.
