ANITA KATZ (Age 96)  
Anita (Shapiro) Katz of Silver Spring, MD, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, peacefully at home. Funeral service will be held on May 18 at 11 a.m. at Judean Memorial Gardens Chapel with interment to follow. The family will receive guests after the service and sit Shiva on Thursday evening at the residence of Donna and Leonard Wartofsky."Nini", as she was affectionately known by her five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, was the wife of the late Albert Katz. She is survived by her sons, Fulton and his wife, Chere, and Gene and his wife Rita; grandchildren, Jodi (Josh) Barr, Josh (Lindsey) Katz, Seth (April) Katz, Tami Katz and Jaime (Joseph) McKenna; and niece, Donna (Leonard) Wartofsky.She was born and raised in Washington among many close relatives and friends.
