ALVIN GERARD BISSETT (Age 69)
Passed away at the Center for Acute Hospice Care in Charlottesville, VA, on Sunday, May 6, 2017. He was born October 16,1947 in Washington, DC to Alvin T. Bissett and Mary E. (Whibley) Bissett. Al attended High Point School in Beltsville, MD. He entered the United States Navy in 1965 and was honorably discharged in 1969. Al worked for WANG Laboratories, The Department of Veterans Affairs and retired from the Department of the Treasury in 2009.Al is survived by his wife, Karen; and children, Carol, John (Tracie) and Traci and stepchildren Gary and Tom (Gloria). He was the proud grandfather of Rebecca, Luke, Brian, Mark, Jason, Ana and Ashley. Al is also survived by his sisters, Elaine Oakes and Darlene Frasher.A Memorial service will be held for Al on Saturday, May 20, 2017, at noon at New Life Community Church, 509 E.
