Anne B Heckman
1928-2017
Anne Beck Heckman, 88, passed away at home peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Mother's Day, May 14, 2017. Anne was born on September 29, 1928 in Griffin, Georgia. She was proceeded in death by her husband Orville, her brother Bill Beck III and parents Sara and William Beck, Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Anne Heckman, Lester Heckman Childres and husband Mark and her precious dog Vicki. Anne and her business partners, Betty Cropper and Marion Woodruff, started the Pretty Penny Gift Shop in 1973. Anne retired in 2003, when her daughter Lester owned it until retiring in 2012. She was a graduate of The University of Georgia and was a member and President of Phi Mu sorority. Anne was a member of Memorial Drive Lutheran Church. The family would like to thank her caregivers, Helen, B and Paige. She was a true friend, and beloved wife and mother. We will all miss her very much…love you more.
The family will receive friends at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home from 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday, May 17th. The funeral service and reception will be on Thursday, May 18th at 11am with Pastor Will Storm and Reverend Keefe Cropper officiating.
