Anna Candelmo Devoted mother and grandmother, enjoyed cooking Anna Candelmo, 98, of Clark, N.J., entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 14, 2017. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the visitation at the Walter Johnson Funeral Home, 803 Raritan Rd., Clark on Thursday, May 18, 2017, from 5 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Final disposition will be private. To offer condolences, please visit www.walterjohnsonfh.com. Mrs. Candelmo was born in Newark, N.J., to Nicholas and Sarah (DeToronto) Carpinello. She lived in Clark for 35 years and before that in Newark. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and enjoyed cooking for her friends and family. Mrs. Candelmo was a salesperson at Kmart in Avenel, N.J., for many years, and also worked as a customer service representative for other retail chains. Mrs. Candelmo was predeceased by her beloved husband, Sam Candelmo; son, David Anthony Candelmo and sister, Antoinette Iannarone. She is survived by her devoted grandson, David Michael Candelmo and his wife, Alysia; brother, Anthony Carpinello and sister, Norma Ilvento.
