Bohdanna GELETA  
On Monday, May 8, 2017, Bohdanna Geleta passed peacefully in her home at age 93. She was the widow of Dr. Jaroslav Geleta, and throughout her adult life had remained involved within the Ukrainian Emigre community. Her involvement was through various Organizations as well as through the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church. After the death of her husband she continued her involvement in the community working on numerous projects, including the completion of a book that he had been involved in preparing and the distribution of the book in both North America as well as in Ukraine. She was well respected and liked in the community. Bohdanna is survived by her nieces Irene Elinich and Christina Tershakowitz, both of whom reside with their families in Pennsylvania.Relatives and friends will be received at the Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home, 11800 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring, MD on Wednesday, May 17 from 4 until 8 p.m., with Parastas at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church, 16631 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring, MD 20905, on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 10 a.m. Interment Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suitland, MD. In lieu of flowers, Bohdanna's wish is for memorial gifts in her memory be made to Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church.
