Armand L. Bengle, Jr., M.D.Armand L. Bengle, Jr., M.D., died Thursday, April 13, 2017. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. James Church, 125 Sonoma Mountain Parkway, Petaluma, on May 20, 2017, at 11:00 a.m.
Armand was born September 26, 1922, in Springfield, Massachusetts. He attended Harvard Medical School and served as a US Navy medical officer in the South Pacific. Returning to San Francisco in 1949 he met and fell in love with Marie Rose Brullard; they were married over 67 years, serving as an inspiration to all.
In addition to Marie Rose, Armand leaves their four children and their spouses: Anne-Marie and David, Claire and Richard, Armand III and Elaine, and Gerard, as well as eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. His sister Adele and her children Jennifer and Donald also survive him.
The family extends gratitude to Petaluma Hospice for their support. Donations in Armand's memory may be made to Petaluma Hospice and to St. Vincent de Paul Society.
