July 26, 1928 - May 1, 2017 Alice Halberstadt was born in Columbia, MO, raised in Kansas City, MO, and spent the majority of her adult life in California. She was a teacher for 45 years spending the last 25 at Muscatel Junior High School in Rosemead. She was a 51-year resident of Arcadia, CA. A longtime and active member of Church of the Good Shepherd, Alice served in leadership roles for many organizations such as AAUW, Alpha Xi Delta Sorority, Delta Kappa Gamma, PEO, Rosemead Teachers Association and United Methodist Women. Alice was an avid fan of the UCLA Bruins and the California Angels. She is survived by her sister, Lynda Summers; son, Bart Halberstadt; daughter-in-law Brenda Halberstadt; and grandchildren, Blaine and Brianna Halberstadt. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 19, 2017, 4:00pm at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Arcadia, CA. Donations in her memory can be made to the Church of the Good Shepherd Foundation.
