CAMPBELL, Aaron W. Aaron W. Campbell, our beloved Dad went home to be with his Heavenly Father on April 27, 2017. His was a life well lived, and he leaves behind a large, loving family and many friends. He was born on May 13, 1928, to Aaron "Bud"and Ruby Campbell, in Hillsboro, Texas. He married his high school sweetheart, Betty Jean Cooper Campbell, his bride of 57 years. After serving in the Army Air Corp., Aaron graduated from Texas A&M, class of 1953. From there, he went to work for Sun Oil Company as a petroleum engineer, retiring at age 60. He then spent several more years as a consultant for Forest Garb and Associates. Dad loved and cared for his family, never missing an event or special occasion. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Nelson and Larry, sister Marcia, and his life long sweetheart, Betty. He is survived by his three children, Kaye Whitcomb (and husband Michael), Sherri Luba (and husband Tom), and Scott Campbell (and wife Lori), eleven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Nancy of Wylie, and Chris of Fall River, Mass., and brother Leroy of Waco. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. at the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration, in Dallas. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Hospital, the Salvation Army, or the . Dad will be greatly missed.
