Ann Montague

Ann Bird Parkinson Montague, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, peacefully passed from this life on April 22, 2017. Ann was born August 21, 1931 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Preston Woolley and Ruth Bird Parkinson.
Ann attended East High School in Salt Lake City and graduated from the University of Utah in 1953 with a B.A. in Elementary Education. While attending the University of Utah, she worked several summers at the Grand Canyon Lodge. After graduation, she taught in the Granite School District in the Salt Lake City area.
To further her education, Ann attended Brigham Young University. As a student at Brigham Young, Ann met David Oliver Montague (who also had begun graduate work at Brigham Young). David and Ann were married and sealed for eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Ann was blessed with numerous opportunities to faithfully serve others in the community and the Church. After David's retirement, Ann and David served two missions for the Church (Germany, Munich and British Columbia, Vancouver). Ann's interests included gardening, family history, temple service, music, travel, reading, A and activities with her family. Ann was also an active member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
Ann is survived by her six children and their spouses: Kathleen and David Hill of Fort Worth, TX, Preston and Linda (long) Montague of San Marcos, CA, Thayne and Deana (Heward) Montague of Wolfforth, TX, Susan and Philip Shipp of Lenexa, KS, Jared and Lisa (Borrowman) Montague of McCall, ID, and Galen and Suzanne (Weight) Montague of Boise, ID; 24 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and younger sisters Carol (and Bill) Staffanson of Sandy, UT, and Mary Millet of Carlsbad, CA.
A viewing will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1255 Bell Road, Auburn, CA. on May 5, 2017 from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. Following the viewing, a funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Please refer to the Price Funeral Home website (www.PriceFuneraiChapel.com) for additional information.
