Aronson, Alberta 95; formerly of Ferndale; died Friday, April 14, 2017 in Bloomfield Hills. She was born April 12, 1922 in Helena, Arkansas to Albert and Lillian Wikowsky. Berta was an exceptional cook. She canned her own fruits and vegetables and lovingly prepared meals from scratch. Her cooking was always enjoyed by friends and family. She had a great sense of humor and was full of wise old sayings. Berta was a big romantic enjoying a good love story on TV or in a book. And her life was a beautiful story of love. She enjoyed a long beautiful life. She loved deeply and was loved by many and she will be dearly missed. Survived by children; Virginia Riddle, Carlon Whitworth, Ken (Joan) Whitworth, Diana (Roger) Riddle, Jack (Annette) Aronson and David (Lynn) Aronson; sister, Lucille Jackson; 20 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Predeceased by husband, Jack Aronson. Visitation Monday 2 to 8 p.m., 6 p.m. funeral service at Spaulding & Curtin Funeral Directors, Ferndale.
