August 26, 1936 - March 23, 2017 Born August 26, 1936 to Henry and Naomi Goldenberg; passed away March 23, 2017 at age 80. Al Allen was raised by his loving parents in San Francisco and Palm Springs. He lived and worked in Los Angeles most of his life. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Annette Allen, his daughters Corinne Allen and Jacquelyn Allen, his son Gregory Allen and his granddaughter Elsa Pace. Allen's life's accomplishments are too numerous to list but some of them were: As a scientist, he published numerous papers in many peer-reviewed journals. His bibliography can be found www.allendallen.com. The subject matter of his papers include physics, medicine, mathematics, the age of the Universe. He was an accomplished composer and wrote hit songs such as "Just Married" sung by Marty Robbins in 1958. He scored music for films and television shows. He wrote many familiar jingles for commercials in the 1970s. He was the Founder, CEO and scientist for CytoDyn, Inc. (CYDY.OTC) from 1994 until 2011. He saved many lives with the development of an immune therapy HIV/AIDS drug. He retired in Scottsdale, Arizona October 2015 and spent time with his family before his death. The life works of Allen will continue to have profound effects on the world for years, maybe centuries.
