Alice (Dayne) Jane  (Tamminga) Avrit  May 29, 1932 - April 5, 2017  
Dayne was born in Denver, Colorado in 1932 and died peacefully in Woodbridge, Virginia on Tuesday, April 5, 2017. She is survived by her husband of almost 58 years, Dick; her daughter and son-in-law, Tamra and Bill McCombs; her granddaughter, Morgan McCombs; her sister, Anne Lu Middel; her sister, Grace Van Gorp; her brother, John Tamminga; her brother, Stephen Tamminga; their spouses; and numerous nieces; nephews; friends and acquaintances.  The family will receive visitors from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 11 at Demaine Funeral Home, 5308 Backlick Road, Springfield, VA. A memorial service will be held at Annandale Methodist Church, 6935 Columbia Pike, Annandale, Virginia, 22003 on Wednesday, April 12 at 11 a.m. Internment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
