Alan W. Bocchini Jr. Executive chef Alan W. Bocchini Jr., 49, formerly of Bloomfield, N.J., passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 17, 2018. Family and friends are asked to visit on Saturday, March 24, at Halpin-Bitecola Brookdale Funeral Home, 1284 Broad St., Bloomfield, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., with a funeral service to be held at 8 p.m. A cremation service will be held privately. Alan was an executive chef, avid Yankees fan, and had a master's in life. He leaves behind two sons, Nicholas and Anthony Bocchini; stepchildren, Michael and Marisa Romero; mother, Nancy Bocchini, and Bill Marsh; his father, Alan A. Bocchini Sr., and his sister, Dawn Bocchini, as well as niece, Torri, and nephew, Shane Burghoffer. He also leaves behind his love, Veronica Velez, and her children, Jorge Garcia and his wife, Emily; Frances Garcia and fiance, Andy; Kristine Giufrita and husband, Mario, and grandchildren, Faith, Lucy, Andrew, Antonio, and Adrian.
