Alexander McGrory Beloved husband, father and granddad, retired firefighter in Newark Alexander McGrory, 87, of Westfield, N.J., passed away at home on March 20, 2018. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Saint Helen's Church in Westfield on Saturday, March 24, at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 23, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Dooley Funeral Home, 556 Westfield Ave., Westfield, N.J. Al was a long time resident of Westfield. He was a firefighter with the Newark Fire Department for 33 years retiring at the rank of deputy chief. He was also an Army infantry veteran of the Korean War. In lieu of flowers, donations to the would be appreciated.
