André, born 9 March 1924 died peacefully on 22 February 2017 at home in Paris surrounded by his family. Director of the Ionizing Radiation Department at the BIPM 1961 to 1989, Professor of Metrology at the CNAM 1967 to 1989, member of the ICRU from 1953 and Chairman from1984 to 1997. The funeral will be held at St François de Molitor in Paris at 14h30 on 3 March 2017.
