Dr. A. BRUCE MUNRO, SR. (Age 88)  
Passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 2, 2017. A beloved and devoted partner to Bettie, his wife of 62 years. He is also survived by his sister, Jean Bedell (Dick); sons, Alan Bruce, Jr. (R. Sarah) and R. Ian; grandchildren, Alan Bruce, III, Rachel, Shannon (Chris), Alex, and Ryan; great-grandchildren, Cali and Isabella; seven nieces and nephews, among other relatives and friends.In 2002, he retired after over forty years of practice as an obstetrician/gynecologist in New Jersey and as a locum tenens and moved to Virginia to be closer to his sons and their families. A graduate of the Northfield Mount Herman School, Wesleyan University, and Emory University School of Medicine, he served in the US Navy and was active for many years in all things Scottish. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 8 at 10 a.m. at the Great Oak Clubhouse Performing Arts Theater at Ashby Ponds, 44755 Audubon Square, Ashburn, Virginia 20147.
